Holler til He hears you!

This morning (well, yesterday morning since it's after 1:30am as I type this) I had the pleasure of hearing Rev. Dr. Rudolph W McKissick Jr from the Bethel Baptist Institutional Church located in Jacksonville Florida preach at my church. For those of you that don't know him, he is a truly dynamic preacher that speaks truth to power.

This morning's message was taken from Mark 10:46-52 and it was titled "Holler Til He Hears You". In listening to this message (which you can purchase from the church at http://www.tucc.org/ and I highly recommend it), it taught me a few things:

- Don't let your shortcomings have you coming up short!

- Learn how to manage what you have so you can get back what you lost! He taught us on this point that sometimes we have a bad habit of asking God for more things but we can't manage what He has given us thus far, so before we ask for more we need to be able to manage what we have!

- Don't use your deficiency as an excuse to staying how you are! Don't rely on other people to keep you at the level in which you're at now; keep people in your life that will help you grow and get better!

- Your haters will become the revelation that leads to your liberation! I think this point is very self explanatory.

All in all, a very very good message. Something to really think about.

End transmission.
