A Sad Day for Chicago

This morning, another part of Chicago died a horrible death. The Sears Tower, as it has been called for many years, is no longer the Sears Tower. The building underwent an official name change, and as such, a piece of Chicago history is gone.

What did they change the name to?

For me, as to about 99 percent of true born-and-bred Chicago natives, it will always be the Sears Tower. Besides, what the heck kind of name is Willis Tower anyway? I immediately think about Different Strokes and that famous line, "what you talkin about Willis?"

Rest in peace Sears Tower. We will keep your name alive.

End Transmission.

It'll always be the Sears Tower to me. Can't wait to take the kids out on the Sky Deck on day.
